India has obviously been in the news lately as a growing economic power. In terms of domain names there is the .in and .co.in that are commonly used by Indian companies. Since .co.in was the first to be introduced, it had the first mover advantage in terms of recognition but since the opening up of the domain market to all entitites including overseas companies/individuals .in has been gaining a lot of interest.
Believe the total registrations now stand around 450,000, but this is still far behind other developed nations and China. So the future of .in and .co.in could be very bright considering India is also a very young and english speaking country with over 500 million people under the age 25 and are more technology savvy than prior generations…
